There is a guy with a camera and he needs our help!

 

Miah Hein is a wonderful film guru from Ohio who has taped hundreds of local musicians and performers over the years, often without charging them a dime. His work has helped propel local talent into the mainstream, and kept music available for those who cant make it to shows. He is a dedicated music lover, who has taped all kinds of creators. And on top of that he is a great guy who has gone above and beyond to help many people in need from the kindness of his heart.

 

Now he needs our help. Miah was the on the receiving end of police invasion; they destroyed his home, took everything he owned, money and car. We are rallying behind him to show our support of this good man who happened to live in a place where the law hasn't caught up with science. He needs money to live and to defend his rights against Ohio's nonsensical laws.

 

There will be a benefit show and awesome raffle with cool prizes to raise money for Miah on October 4th in Dayton Ohio. Luckily, because of the generosity of so many we only need $150 to pay for our sound equipment to run the show. 

 

But we also know that not everyone can make it to one event. So here is another opportunity to support our friend. Whatever you can donate, this money will go to Miah. His bank accounts were frozen in this ordeal and his vehicle seized, so he needs all the help he can to eat, and pay bills all while saving for a lawyer. This account will be up and running for the next month. Our goal would be to raise enough money to get his legal help to the tune of $5000, plus keep his bills paid as he looks for a way to keep working. Every little bit helps.

 

And if you are wondering who I am, my name is Megan Smallwood, I am an artist who has worked for ekoostik hookah, Corinne Henahan, as well as within the Ohio music community and I am Miah's friend/supporter. I am working to do whatever I can to get him back on his feet.
